Moventis is one of the most recognised urban and intercity transport operators in southern Europe. Founded in Sabadell in 1923, the company has historically been committed to a sustainable and connected mobility model, currently operating in six countries, with a fleet of more than 2,500 buses and coaches, 41 streetcars and 770 urban bicycles.

Managing a large-scale transportation fleet involves coordinating vehicles, routes, driving staff, operational incidents and validation systems in real time, while ensuring an efficient and safe experience for travelers.

Moventis needed to move towards a fully digitized operating model, eliminating manual processes and centralising all operational information under a single connected platform. The goal was to have real-time visibility into fleet operations, optimise decision making and improve operational efficiency and user experience, including ticket payment systems.

To respond to the need for digitalisation, Moventis developed ZEUS, a digital ecosystem capable of connecting buses, operational bases, validation systems, traffic, human resources and fleet management platforms in real time.

The solution

To ensure that all systems remain connected in real time, Moventis relies on Wireless Logic's multi-operator IoT connectivity, with its Conexa network. This infrastructure makes it possible to maintain stable and continuous communication between each vehicle and the central platform, regardless of the coverage available in each area.

Thanks to continuous access to the telephone network, the company can geolocate all vehicles continuously, informing users of actual service times and thus continue with its daily onboard sales operations, even if the routes take place in areas with low coverage.
