Wireless Logic named a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™

Our MD of Group Services, Simon Trend, reflects on this week’s announcement from Gartner and how Wireless Logic is helping customers navigate the complexities of connecting ‘things’ across the globe.

4th February 2022 | Simon Trend, MD of Group Services

This week Gartner has announced that Wireless Logic has been positioned as a ‘Leader’ in the 2022 Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services, Worldwide.

We believe this is a fantastic achievement for the Wireless Logic Group and is something that we are hugely proud of. Gartner recognized 18 different IOT connectivity vendors across the globe, and combined with feedback from our customers, have recognized the strength of our services and expertise. Global IoT can be hugely complex, and our expert teams have a singular focus on helping customers navigate the many challenges and barriers to ensure that their services run smoothly.

Understanding Customer Needs

Worldwide, billions of connected devices and millions of applications are accelerating the rate of positive environmental, social and economic change across the world. Through smart cities applications, vehicle telematics, ehealth, energy networks, and more, the IoT brings efficient, safe and secure device monitoring and management.

At Wireless Logic, we have pioneered the IoT connectivity market since 2000, delivering resilient, flexible and scalable IoT connectivity solutions to help businesses accelerate the return on their IoT investment. In doing so, we have developed a deep understanding of sectors and applications. This gives us the basis to provide global solutions with the right technology for each use case so that customers can stop worrying about connectivity and focus on the success of their deployment.

We believe our ‘Leader’ position in the Gartner Magic Quadrant, reflects the strengths of our offering:

  • Industry knowledge and expertise – helping enterprises navigate the complexities and changes in the global market such as eSIM, 5G and the regulatory and logistical considerations of permanent roaming
  • Guidance that is operator and technology agnostic – as a full-service, independent IoT connectivity platform provider, we provide an unbiased view, assessing each use case so that IoT companies can make the right choice to get to market quickly
  • A route into complex markets – Wireless Logic’s ‘network of networks’ approach takes away the hassle and overhead of managing connectivity across different networks and from different service providers. One integration for global coverage
  • Our industry leading platform, SIMPro – providing a single window and integration to securely manage connected IoT assets across any network and number of deployments. It allows the simple control of SIM estates, powerful tools to troubleshoot issues, optimise costs and the ability to automate IoT connectivity
  • Quality of Service – Delivering industry leading service and expertise – from product design and prototyping through to deployment and in-life support
  • From pilot to production– Solution design, setup and implementation within hours, with capacity and scale to transition from pilot to production seamlessly
  • Scale for global deployments – With over 8 million subscribers under management and over 160 countries supported by our resources in market.

In recent years we have:

  • Deployed over 4 million eSIMs and Multi-IMSI SIMS across the globe so that IoT companies can ship devices with a single product stock keeping unit (SKU) to multiple markets where they can be re-provisioned over-the-air with a different MNO profile if required
  • Provided low power wide area (LPWA) solutions for IoT devices that are small in dimensions, have a long battery life and need to be cost-effectively deployed in vast numbers. Such use cases include sensors for asset management, utility infrastructure, smart city applications like air quality monitoring, parking, lighting and more
  • Helped companies securely manage connected IoT assets and data across multiple MNO networks and international footprints – from the SIM to the cloud.

The future of connected ‘things’

Trends that include ageing populations, mega-cities, renewable energies and a rise in last-mile deliveries are driving data-led and technology-based services. The volume of connected devices and ‘things’ will inevitably continue to grow globally, but the IoT is about more than just connectivity…

To succeed, IoT solution providers, device manufacturers and enterprises will always need the right technology but also a simple way to manage connectivity that takes cost and risk out of development, implementation and in-life management. They need security for devices and data, fast and flexible deployments, service level agreements, and support for multi-region deployments subject to a range of technical and regulatory demands.

As a leading full-service IoT connectivity platform provider we will continue to help our customers simplify manufacturing and logistics processes, future-proof IoT installations and maximise the value of their investments and assets.

We look forward to continuing to provide global IoT connectivity for any device, anywhere so that companies can continue to innovate through the IoT and positively change the world.
