Muxunav, vending retrofit with Conexa
Success story

Muxunav introduces the modernisation of unattended machines in Latin America through its partnership with Conexa

With the help of Conexa's multi-IMSI SIM, Muxunav gives a second life to unattended machines in retail, gaming and other sectors, and expands into the Latin American market.

About

Muxunav is a technological company that has made vending retrofitting its corporate purpose. With more than fifteen years of experience, they have specialised in upgrading obsolete machines to provide them with telemetry and connectivity. This allows vending operators and other sectors (such as gaming or launderettes) to save costs by extending the useful life of their equipment. Helping to reduce the sector's ecological footprint in the process.

The Navarra-based company designs its own equipment and develops and maintains its software and data visualisation platform. Its commitment to the environment is also reflected in its supply chain: it relies on a zero-kilometer supplier for the manufacture of its devices.

Challenge

Wireless Logic helps Muxunav to expand

After a successful growth in Spain and Europe, the natural evolution of the business has led Muxunav to set its sights on the other side of the pond. Latin America offers a market full of opportunities for Telmarkt to become a reference in vending, gaming and laundry modernisation.

In an environment such as retail, the connectivity solution is one of the most critical links in the chain, as any downtime can directly impact the business, every minute that equipment is out of service is potential lost sales for operators and machine owners.

Connectivity, although taken for granted from an external perspective, is subject to multiple technological and regulatory factors, which adds additional complexity to multi-territory deployments. When deploying equipment in new markets, there are some questions to answer. Which operators have infrastructure in the target markets? What technologies are available? Are there any permanent roaming regulations?

Solution

As knowledge and expertise in the complex area of global telecommunications is not always available, it is critical to have a connectivity partner capable of addressing these issues and providing robust, cost-effective and responsive connectivity services. Muxunav turned to Wireless Logic for a flexible solution to deploy in different regions of the Americas.

Wireless Logic provided Conexa's multi-IMSI SIM, configured to remotely provision profiles and operate with a location-specific IMSI, which circumvents the barriers of permanent roaming without the need to use different physical SIM cards. In addition, Wireless Logic's SIM cards work in a private and properly prepared environment to protect the network and devices against potential cybersecurity threats.

Result

After a successful test phase in Chile and the Dominican Republic, Muxunav is now setting its sights on new markets, both inside and outside Latin America, to expand its business and provide a second life to obsolete machines. Moreover, they can do so by simplifying the production chain, using a single SIM SKU for all deployment locations, thanks to eSIM/eUICC and multi-IMSI technologies.

With the help of the SIMPro platform, Muxunav maintains comprehensive control of its fleet of SIMs, deployed by Wireless Logic worldwide, regardless of region, profile or access technology.

This approach allows the customer to outsource complex connectivity processes and instead focus on enhancing the value of their products and obtaining certifications from payment institutions, enabling them to offer fully integrated unattended sales solutions.
