RockBox Advertising is a leading Out-of-Home media owner, with a network of digital and poster sites in prime student locations.
With a reach of almost two million students, half a million gig-goers and over 30 million impacts nationally every fortnight, RockBox connect with an audience of 18-25-year olds in the places they spend their time – music venues, student unions and bars.
Challenge
RockBox specialise in delivering relevant advertising campaigns to their environments, whilst also being able to keep students up to date with all the latest news, gigs and offers.
RockBox needed to find a solution that would enable them to provide the best uninterrupted coverage and be able to stream secure data through targeted campaigns. As there are numerous locations across the UK including Cambridge and Oxford universities, being able to manage and maintain the digital screens remotely to ensure no down time is paramount.
Solution
Wireless Logic were able to offer un-steered roaming SIMs meaning that any black spots or weak network coverage would not prevent data being streamed to the digital signage, providing ‘always on’ advertising and with Fixed IP over Open VPN as an overlay, allowed for constant secure online access from point-to-point.
All SIMs can be managed and monitored through the Wireless Logic Management Platform SIMPro, providing full access and control at any time. In addition to this, Wireless Logic were able to support RockBox in providing 4G routers and MIMO Puck Antenna, configured and tested prior to despatch for a plug and play solution.
Outcome
The overall outcome for RockBox has meant improved connectivity, less drop out and better customer experience. Reliable connectivity has also enabled RockBox to focus on the continual growth of their portrait screen network across the UK.
